Every time I look at my daughter’s art I think, I should be selling this. Now I am very biased because I love abstract art and it’s my daughter’s, so it’s the best of course. But if your child is above four years old, creative, and has art to sell, send the tiny makers over to a new weekly market at JZAtelier.
JZAtelier just reopened in the 798 district and is giving kids an encouraging platform to showcase their artwork. Jewelry, paintings, handcrafts, self-written books, and self-recorded music are all encouraged art pieces to take along – as long as it’s child made. The first market will be held this Sunday, May 28, from 9.30am-12pm.
I am a big fan of art and try to showcase my daughter’s artwork around the home. She is always busy drawing and has created so many pieces that I could start to cover every wall with them. I might go over and sell my daughter’s pieces; as some money in her college fund could never hurt.
Stimulating our kid’s creativity is something we should encourage. Art can change the way children think and feel about the world. I feel so much joy when I have time to paint and create art; unfortunately, I only have time these days to see my daughter create her own masterpieces. That’s all the more reason to head over to 798 District this weekend and see the artistic faces of these happy kids as they realize the value of creativity.
