One of the best things about residing in an International City like Beijing is whenever a disaster occurs anywhere in the world, locals and expats stand united to do what we can to help. No matter the distance, no matter the circumstance, or no matter the country, the good people of this city refuse to stand idle.
Last Tuesday, Central Mexico experienced a devastating earthquake claiming the lives of over 200 people. Rescue crews are currently working around the clock sifting through the rubble to save the remaining people still trapped by this terrible event.
To help deliver some much-needed funds to the cleanup and rebuilding efforts, Yoga In the Park has organized an event this Sunday (Sep 24) at 9:30am in Chaoyang Park (Duck Pond/West Gate). The morning will consist of a group meditation and an hour of yoga asana with the hopes of silencing a bit of the chaos going on in the world around us and promoting peace.
There is a suggested donation of RMB 100, which will go to earthquake relief helping those currently suffering in the wake of this recent natural disaster. Scan the QR code in the poster for more details and the exact location.
