After careful consideration, we’ve decided to play it safe and move this year’s Jingkids Summer Fling that was originally planned for this Sat (May 22) to the following Sat (May 29). If it rains next Sat, the rain date will be Sun (May 30).
We’re still confident that this summer will be a fun packed experience for everyone in Beijing. We’re expecting over 20 camps at the Summer Fling and postponing it by a week is for the safety and peace of mind of our readers. This is also great news for families of some of Beijing’s school communities who previously weren’t able to come due to on-campus events at their school. Now everyone can be a part of the fun!
Tickets already purchased (and won) will be automatically honored on May 29, but if you purchased a ticket for May 22 and cannot attend the picnic on May 29, please contact us privately and request a full refund.
All other elements of the Summer Fling will remain the same – fun in the sun for everyone (don’t forget the sunscreen!) and summer activities providers galore, providing you the perfect chance to interact with camp counselors and organizers before making the decision on your child’s summer plans.
Now without further ado, it’s time to dive into this week’s collection of fun family-friendly events right here in Beijing.
As always, click the link in the event title or scan the QR codes for further details and ticketing info.

Keeping active before and after childbirth can be difficult to say the least, however, this fun dance class led by Beijing-based doula Alessia Chizzoniti makes it easy. No need to feel like you should suck in your stomach or wear oversized shirts to hide your giggly postpartum belly.” All moms, kids, and moms-to-be are welcome.
