The Children’s House Montessori Kindergarten Open Day

We all know that life can be very stressful at times and relaxing our minds and bodies is very important. Tai Chi can help with that. But other than helping us relax and prepare for the day ahead, it also offers a range of benefits, such as improved sleep quality, pain management and brain function. So if you’re up for some gentle exercise in the fresh November air, Tai Chi master Eric Liu offers beginner and advanced classes every Saturday morning 9am-11am in Chaoyang Park. You’ll learn authentic Tai Chi moves, and also be guided to understand the Yin Yang idea, the Taoist philosophy and even the basic methods of self massage to relief pain and stress in daily life. The price is RMB 150 and you can sign up by scanning the QR code.

The Hutong’s Soup Cooking Class
If you’re not planning on having Thanksgiving dinner at one of Beijing’s restaurants, and you’re more into spending it at home and preparing a feast in your own kitchen, why not add an unconventional twist to your menu and make something new and different?The Hutong will be organizing a cooking class this Saturday where you can learn to prepare delicious Asian soups and learn about the heritage, history and culture behind the recipes. “Tastes of Asia” classes follow a Pan-Asian menu with delicacies from Pakistani, Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Sri Lankan and other cuisines. This Saturday, the soups will be Chinese Hot and Sour Soup, Thai Tom Yum Soup and Korean Kimchi Soup. The price is RMB 350, and RMB 300 for members.
