If you’re an international school student and have a band, this is your chance: The Battle of the Bands at Modernista on May 5 is the ultimate event for international high school bands in Beijing!
You will get to perform live at a cool venue, compete with other talented bands, and win some awesome prizes. And the best part is, it’s all for a good cause: supporting Our Learning House, a charity that helps kids in Beijing with special needs.
But hurry, space is limited: only 12 bands will be selected to rock the stage at Modernista and the deadline to enter is March 1.
It’s easy. You don’t need to have your own songs or a long set list. Cover songs are fine and you only need to play two of your best. Just send in an audio or video recording of one of your songs by March 1, 2024. Scan this QR code in the poster to sign up or for more info:

Professional studio time from Brevity of Motion Sounds to record one of your songs and make it sound amazing
A catered celebration party at Home Plate BBQ to enjoy with your bandmates, and a chance to perform to the public on Home Plate’s stage.

And of course, the honor of being named Beijing’s best high school band!
The second and third place bands will also get cool prizes, and all performers will get a swanky credential they can use for their college applications.
There will also be an Audience Favorite prize chosen by the crowd, so bring your squad to cheer for your band.
Tickets will go on sale in March, so stay tuned for more details. All the proceeds from the ticket sales will go to Our Learning House, so you can rock out and make a difference at the same time.
