Job seekers are under more pressure than ever as the demand for English-speaking teachers at international schools continues to grow. There are 280,000 teachers currently working in international schools across the world – a figure that is predicted to increase even more over the next few years.
Expatica estimates that approximately 10 percent of teachers hired last year were new to international schools. In general, they came from the UK, Australia, the US, Canada, and other English-speaking countries.
Start planning now if you want to start working in September, says Andrew Wigford, director of Teachers International Consultancy (TIC). Most international schools start recruiting for the new academic year in January, February, and March, so job seekers should "act now."
