The holiday season can often seem like it’s more about getting than giving, but Puhua International Hospital and the Migrant Children’s Foundation (MCF) are teaming up this season to facilitate both giving and getting with their Check Up For Charity project. Puhua will sell vouchers for a full-scale health checkup with 100 percent of the proceeds going to MCF. Puhua will be selling these vouchers at the upcoming Rotary Club of Beijing Holiday Bazaar this Saturday and Sunday, and the Beijing City International School (BCIS) Christmas Bazaar on December 1.
The vouchers for the health check are priced at RMB 500, but the total value will be over RMB 3,000. The in-depth health check includes testing for vital signs, a physical consultation with a general practitioner, an orthopedic exam, a chiropractic/posture analysis, an ECG, a chest x-ray, a gender-specific abdominal ultrasound, CBC and FBS blood tests, and stool and urine analysis. The proceeds benefit MCF, which works with migrant communities and under-resourced schools in Beijing.
