3e Initiative Fuses Art and Recycling
The parent council at 3e International School is partnering with NGO Future Forest on a new recycling project. For the project, 3e students will paint a tree on out-of-use access cards, and their art will be available for families to purchase. All proceeds will be used to purchase trees that will be planted in Inner Mongolia and the cards will be hung on trees. For more information, contact community@3einternationalschool.org.
Dulwich Debuts New Tennis Facilities
Dulwich College christened its new six-court tennis facility with a U19 boys doubles tennis tournament on October 13. The tournament started with a round robin, with winners moving to the final stages of the tournament. Students from the International School of Beijing (ISB) emerged as overall victors.

BCIS Roots & Shoots Receives the Annual Achievement Award
On Saturday, November 3, Beijing City International School (BCIS) student April Xu, founder of the BCIS chapter of Roots & Shoots, and Gurkriti Singh, Animal Committee student leader, represented the group to receive the annual Roots & Shoots Achievement Award from Dr. Jane Goodall (pictured with Xu). The award was presented at the gala dinner event “An Evening with Jane Goodall,” and eight other BCIS students and teachers also attended. Inspired by Dr. Jane Goodall’s speeches at the Gala Dinner and her visit to the school on the following Monday, Roots & Shoots BCIS will continue to extend its influence.
HKIMC Re-Opens After Renovation
Hong Kong International Medical Center (HKIMC) has reopened its outpatient clinic in the Swissotel-Hong Kong Macau Center. The re-opening coincides with HKIMC’s 20-year anniversary. HKIMC’s renovation created a new layout and added advanced equipment. HKIMC continues to offer quality health care with a full rance of outpatient care including OB/GYN, dental services, dermatology, ophthalmology, and more, including expert consultations.
BSB Sanlitun Are ISAC Football Champions
On Saturday 3rd November, 3 teams from BSB Sanlitun took part in the U11 Boys & Girls ISAC Tournament. There were over 40 teams competing, with all the schools from Beijing and Tianjin for what turned out to be an incredibly exciting (and also extremely wet!) day. The Boys A team won the Division 3 title and the Girls team won the Division 2 title.
International SOS Announces ISO 9001 Accreditation
International SOS has announced that its clinics and medical facilities in North Asia – which include their China facilities – have been certified by the International Organization for Standardization at the 9001 quality level. Adriaan Jacobz, Group Director of Medical Services, International SOS says: “Whilst we already have extensive internal processes and audits for quality, ISO brings external focus and benchmarking.
