English menu? None, buffet-style
General kid-friendliness of menu: The buffet is kid-friendly, with a large range of options across cuisines (Italian, Cantonese, Indian, and more) and plenty of vegetarian options.
Best dishes for adults: Oysters, grilled lobster, seafood curry, barbequed pork
Kids’ menu? No, but plenty of kid-friendly options
Best dishes for kids: Mashed potatoes, shepherd’s pie, barbeque chicken, pasta
Kids’ play area? Yes. There is an attached Kids Paradise play area with toys, stuffed animals, crafts and a chaperone next to the dining area. It is staffed with professional teachers from Little Mozart, 3i Art Centre and The Familier.
Play areas nearby: Oriental Plaza and Wangfujing shopping street
Kid-friendly staff? Yes, English-speaking and attentive
Bathroom: Clean, sit-down. There is no changing table, but changing your baby in the hotel should not be a problem.

In a nutshell: Vasco’s FIZZtastic Sunday Brunch manages to be both elegant and family-friendly at the same time. The quality and variety of food (particularly the seafood offerings) is impressive and the service is top-notch – parents will love the chance to sip on champagne and listen to jazz singer Nancy Brown while their kids play freely in the supervised play area. Be sure to save room for dessert.
