English menu? Yes
General kid-friendliness of menu: Standard American fare will keep kids pleased, and special orders are possible for those with allergies
Best dishes for adults: One of their gargantuan burgers like the salsa-addled The Mexican (RMB 85), Sesame Chicken Salad (RMB 75), flour tortilla chicken fajitas (RMB 85) – oft-overlooked, but scrumptious.
Kids’ menu? Yes, one for food and one for drinks.
Best dishes for kids: Chilli and cheese dog (RMB 70, comes with fries and pickled relish), mini beef or tandoori chicken sliders (RMB 85), Firecracker Pasta with cajun chicken and cheddar cheese (RMB 80)
Kids’ play area? No
Play areas nearby: Indigo Mall and 798 Art District
Bathroom: Very clean and spacious with sit-down toilets; there is a changing table in the women’s restroom
Seating: A massive 100sqm patio and indoor seating: booths, couches, standard chairs and highchairs
Price: RMB 350-400
Parking? Yes, free at Indigo Mall if you bring your Blue Frog receipt as proof of purchase
Credit card accepted? Yes, all major cards accepted
Must-order item: The Teppanyaki Salmon hot plate (RMB 90, featuring four sliders) – a savory and far lighter alternative to a main course burger
In a nutshell: Romantically dim lighting and two-for-one happy hour (daily 4pm-8pm) might not make this the ideal locale for evening family friendly dining. But during earlier hours, these hearty American-style dishes are an ideal quick fix for homesick laowai or locals curious about Westernized cuisine. Also, be sure to try the two-for-one burger deal on Mondays (which includes all the main course burgers).
