Wanted former international school teacher Neil Robinson may have been found in China and deported. Users on Yahoo! Group BeijingMamas and Weibo (see above) posted that Robinson, who is wanted in the UK in connection with distribution of indecent images of children and child rape, has been apprehended by local police and deported back to the UK.
At the time of writing, these reports have not been confirmed. We called the Surrey Police, but we are currently awaiting confirmation from them.
An international school contact (not from Beijing World Youth Academy where Robinson taught) said that local police had been to the school to show Robinson’s photograph in the hope of generating leads. It is not known whether that is what helped to break the case, if it has indeed been broken.
