It’s no secret that Beijing lacks birthday venues for older kids and teens, but U-Speed Go-Karting can help fill that gap. Based in Lido and open year-round, U-Speed’s 4,000sqm facilities include go-karting tracks, VIP rooms, a bar/restaurant, conference rooms, and a games center with foosball, pool tables, and a video arcade.
Recommended for ages 10 and up, the center offers a birthday special of RMB 1,800 for 20 sessions. One “session” equals six minutes on the track and is valid for one person. The special also includes two hours in one of U-Speed’s VIP rooms and a limited number of soft drinks. By comparison, the regular price for a session is RMB 120 for non-members and RMB 85 for members (a membership costs RMB 200 per year). The venue can also be partly or fully rented out for corporate and private events (anywhere from RMB 8,000-12,000 per hour depending on the time, day of the week, and facilities requested). Alternatively, adrenaline junkies can take advantage of U-Speed’s “midnight storm.” After 11pm every night, up to six people can take part in 30-minute endurance races for a total of RMB 1,800 (Mon-Thu) or RMB 2,300 (Fri-Sun). True to its vehicle-friendly nature, U-Speed offers free parking for your full-sized car.
