Sanyuanli Market re-opened yesterday, Monday, June 17, after an extended closing for renovations. The market, which is a favorite with expats and locals looking for decent produce and moderately-priced imported goods, is cleaner than before, with built-in stalls, tiled floors instead of concrete, and better lighting.
The market’s interior is still undergoing a bit of light construction inside, mostly because of businesses setting up their stalls with shelving. If there are any pricing changes, it will probably vary from stall to stall, but stall 019, a go-to for buying peanuts-only peanut butter, still charges RMB 25 for a jar of peanut butter.
