Keystone Academy, the American-style boarding school set to open in Beijing in September, 2014, will begin formally accepting applications for grades 1 through 9 for its inaugural class this September. The school has a video in which Rachael Beare, dean of admissions, explains the school’s admissions process and the type of student the academy is looking for, as well as what will make Keystone unique.
Keystone Academy, which takes from the best aspects of the most prestigious boarding schools in the US, will combine international education principles with the best practices and traditions of Chinese history, culture, and education, to form a wholly new education model. In the primary years, Keystone will use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), the IB Middle Years Program, and the IB Diploma Program in the final years of high school.
