Can you believe we’re entering the third week of July already? Time flies, but we still have a few weeks left to keep ourselves and the little ones entertained before they go back into school. Here are a few things worth checking out in and around Shunyi.
Flips and Kicks Plus Summer Camp (Block 2)
Flips and Kicks Plus are back with Block 2 of their multi-sports summer camp. Following the success of Block 1 two weeks ago, Flips and Kicks Plus is once again offering half-day or full-day activities. This week will feature rock climbing. You can sign your child up for one or several days.
There are still three days available: July 18 will have fencing, swimming, volleyball, burnball. July 19 features rock climbing, football, ping pong, badminton, swimming. Lastly, July 20 ends with track and field, gymnastics, karate and a fun fair for all.

Mookey Swim Club Turns 3
Mookey Swim, one of the best places for family swimming in Beijing, brings together fitness, education, fun, and entertainment. They now have four branches in Beijing and are also preparing to open in Tianjin, Suzhou and Guangzhou.
Mookey Swim is celebrating its third year anniversary at the Shunyi branch, which itself is marking its first year. A full program of events has been planned for July 20 from 9.30am-noon. Families with children aged 3 months to 3 years (even non-members) are welcome.

Family Photography with Not an Illusion Productions
Not an Illusion Productions has 12 years of experience in Beijing doing family photography, specializing in portraits shot with natural light. They can offer advice on location shoots, or do house calls in Shunyi for shy children.
During the summer, they’re offering weekday specials as well as short sessions. Not an Illusion claims a quick turnaround time, usually within one week. However, the studio can also do as short as four days if there’s a need.
