The Chinese believe that if you carry your baby by the head he or she will grow taller- was told this by someone in the office recently after watching a panda lift its baby by the head. The Chinese have numerous urban legends at their disposal for every occasion, as do we all. Well one of the Chinese urban legends whose reliability can be tested is the Gender Calendar, which happens to be a chart.
The chart is said to have accurately predicated the gender of a baby since the 13th century. A Chinese scientist discovered a relic about 700 years ago in a royal tomb in Beijing. The relic is currently housed in the Institute of Science in Beijing. The chart is considered one of the oldest methods for predicting the gender of an unborn baby.
It is also one of the simplest, where the only necessary information such as the mother’s age at conception along with month of conception is used to determine the sex of the baby. Here is a fuller explanation:
In order to use the Chinese baby prediction calendar correctly, you would need to determine your age and the month the unborn baby was conceived in based on the Chinese Baby Calendar. The easiest way to determine your lunar age is to simply take your current age and add one year. A year is added in the Chinese culture because they consider conception as the beginning point of determining age, not the birth itself. The month of conception is much more challenging to figure out as it uses the Chinese Ten Thousand Year calendar to determine the lunar equivalent. Instead of trying to do this complex mathematical formula, it is easier to determine the correct month of conception with an online calculator available on most baby gender prediction sites. Once both the correct date and age has been determined, the Chinese baby prediction calendar would then predict the gender of the unborn baby.

It may be right or wrong but whatever the result is it’s always fun to guess or predict about the baby’s gender while someone is in pregnancy. It’s not science but only a predicting game for fun and then wait for the final day to know whether the prediction was made right or wrong ;-).
