Danish Clothing Brand Launches in Beijing
Danish children’s outdoor clothing label Ticket Outdoor marked its arrival in China with a grand opening at Top Toys in Solana. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a kids’ fashion show, and an address from the Danish ambassador. Customers can find the brand’s products at Top Toys or on its Taobao store at ticketoutdoor.taobao.com.
BNU Professors Join 3e Research Team
Two professors from Beijing Normal University (BNU) have joined 3e International School’s curriculum research and development team as senior consultants. Continuing a longstanding affiliation between the two institutions, Dr. Yi Jin (pictured) and Dr. Liu Jingli will use their experience to help develop the school’s curriculum.
Art Bug Appoints Lead Teacher for Teen Classes
Art Bug recently welcomed teacher Jan Rogalo, who will lead its “Teens Portfolio” classes for ages 12 to 18. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Photography and a Master’s in Art Education from University of the Arts London, and will work at both the school’s CBD and Lido locations.
School Counselor Joins DCB
Dulwich College Beijing recently welcomed Dr. Catherine Hsu, a school counselor with over 17 years of clinical experience. With a doctorate from New York University, Dr. Hsu has lived in Beijing for 13 years and has worked at various international clinics. She has helped children and their families address conditions such as depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders, as well as behavioral and developmental issues.
BIBA Teacher Wins Education Award
An ESL teacher at Beijing International Bilingual Academy (BIBA), Jeffrey Hansen, has won the Ming Yuan award for adopting the education organization EduChina’s philosophy of “gather[ing]good people to do good deeds.” A teacher at BIBA for seven years, Hansen was praised by the school for his hard work and dedication.
MIK Launches New Bilingual Kindergarten Program
Muffy’s International Kindergarten (MIK) is accepting applicants for its new bilingual curriculum. Launching on March 3, the school’s Dual Immersion Program offers children aged 2 to 4 of all nationalities the chance to advance their English skills alongside a foundation in Chinese language and culture. Deadline Approaches for Keystone Academy’s Early Application
Time is almost up for early bird applications to Keystone Academy, with entries for Foundation to Grade 5 required by February 20. Though applications for Grades 6 to 9 closed in January, late entries will be considered on a rolling basis starting from April. Note that applications are not considered complete until all materials are received by the admissions office.
