There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s doggy, Mei Jing, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Good morning Beijing, I am Mei Jing.
Background: One day, a woman saw me digging through some trash and picked me up and took me into her home. She will be returning for the US soon and she can’t take me with her! I really hope I can find a new family to love me. I am
Personality: I am playful and sweet and love to play and snuggle with people.
Ideal home: My perfect family would consist of people who like to play and will take me for walks.
Breed: Small to medium mixed breed dog.
Dog Registration and Licensing: If I am a small dog when I grow up (up to 35 cms from ground to shoulder), I can be legally registered within any district in Beijing.
Sex & Age: I am a 2-months old female puppy and have not yet been spayed.
Medical notes: I am starting my vaccinations with the vets at ICVS. After I complete my vaccinations, I can be spayed. ICVS will enroll me and my new adoption family into their Stray/Rescued Pets Adoption Benefits Program. We will receive up to 50% discount on our examinations, vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries at ICVS!
Official Vaccination Certificate: After my rabies vaccinations, ICVS will issue my family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge! I need this official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated and to register for my dog license. I must have this official vaccination red book in order to move to another city or to leave China with my family.
Official Spay/Neuter Certificate for Dogs: After I have been spayed by our doctors at ICVS, the hospital will issue my family the official Spay/Neuter Certificate that will provide my owner with 50% discounts (e.g., RMB 500.00 savings) on our dog license registration fees at the Public Security Bureau.
ICVS Non-Profit Humane Animal Welfare Programs: Please support and donate to the ICVS Non-Profit Humane Animal Welfare Programs.
