There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s wat is Patch from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Patch was first featured on the Wat of the Week blog in May. Here is a short recap of the rat’s information:
Name: Hi Everyone, my name is Patch.
Age & Sex: I am a sweet and gentle 2-year-old male rat, in good health.
Personality: I am gentle and used to being handled. I like being cuddled and will sit on your shoulder or hand to be fed. I never bite.
Background: I have been the close companion and beloved friend of a 9-year old girl and her family. Unfortunately, my family left China and couldn’t take me with them. I was supposed to have been adopted by a family, but they never came to pick me up, so I have been living under the guardianship of the devoted staff at the British School of Beijing, who are now hoping to find me a loving forever home.
Ideal home: I would be great for families with children that are at least 8-years or older. My family will provide a large cage, water bottle and food to my new adoption family.
