Founded by Doctor Marcel Roux, former vice-president and director of Médecins Sans Frontières, Madaifu has been helping orphans from Gansu and northern Shaanxi stay in school, through its ‘Orphanage Without Walls’ programme for over 15 years. Dr Roux passed away in 2006, leaving behind family and friends who carry on his work today.
For the tenth year running, Madaifu are selling apples throughout Beijing, to raise funds and awareness for their projects. There are many sites across Beijing, where the apples are available, including at Deli de Luxe at Chaoyang Park West Gate. Teesh Law, the owner of the deli is offering an extended ordering period, up to Thursday November 20. Apples will be available for collection from there on Saturday November 22 and Sunday November 23.
