Yew Chung International School of Beijing is an international school with a variety of curricula drawn from the best elements of both Eastern and Western education. Its Early Childhood Education (Kindergarten) and Primary sections follow the National Curriculum for England (NCE) alongside a researched-based Chinese Language and Culture Program. Kindergarten and primary classrooms incorporate a co-teaching model with one Western and one Chinese Teacher to create a fully immersed bilingual environment; and secondary school students follow Key Stage 3 of the UK National Curriculum, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB). YCIS Beijing is currently accredited by five accreditation authorities and all YCIS Schools became the first and only schools in China to be awarded the Cambridge Award for Excellence in Education in 2012 by Cambridge International Examinations to honor their consistent years of academic achievement.
