Spring break dates differ from school to school this year. Some schools are on holiday the week of March 30, others the following week. In response to this, a number of sports and activity organizations have planned camps that will run over a few weeks. If you’re staying in Beijing for Spring break, you’ll want to keep the kids busy and active, and let them have some fun too. With sports, arts and crafts, activities and games, there really is something for everyone. Here’s our round-up of this year’s Spring break camps.
Dulwich Community Programmes (DCP)
All DCP camps will be held at Dulwich College Beijing (DCB) Legend Garden Campus, and will run for four days from Tuesday April 7 to Friday April 10. Registration opens March 23. Register in person at DCB Legend Garden Sports Club weekdays and weekends or at Riviera Campus during school hours.

Manchester United Soccer School
The British School of Beijing (BSB) Shunyi campus is playing host to Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS), on Tuesday March 31 – Thursday April 2, from 8am-5pm. The MUSS camp will give kids the opportunity to learn training tricks and techniques from some of the best soccer players in the world. Premier League football coaches from Manchester, England, will be delivering 21 hours of coaching, designed by Manchester United’s first team coaches. O’le Spring Camp
O’le Sports will be offering various activities, at their three day sports camps.
Camp 1: March 30-April 1, 10am-4pm
Camp 2: April 6-8, 10am-4pm
Activities include bouldering, football, big wall climbing, abseiling, and box climbing. Both camps will finish with a BBQ party on the last day, followed by fun games in the afternoon. RMB 1,600, including the BBQ party. Price does not include lunch on the first and second days, so please bring a packed lunch. To register online, click here.
Sports Beijing
Between March 30 and April 10, Sports Beijing is offering a number of activities to keep kids busy and active. Their five day camp RMB 3,180 is suitable for ages 5-13 years. To register, click here.

Atelier Art School
Keep your artistic ones busy this holiday, with a one week workshop at the new Atelier Art School in Shunyi. The Mayan themed workshop RMB 1,500 runs from Monday March 30 to Friday April 3. Morning sessions are 10am-12pm for 5-8 year olds, afternoon sessions 1.30-4pm for 9-12 year olds. The workshop promises to be a cultural journey into Mayan Civilization. Students will learn how Mayan people lived, what their cities looked like, and imagine themselves as Mayan people. The teacher will lead them to create their own Mayan world, with grandiose pyramids, colorful masks, cypher-like languages, and mysterious calendars. Easter Camp
House of Knowledge (HoK) will be running a fun packed five day camp, offering a range of activities, including crafts, games, and songs, all with an Easter theme. The camp will run from Monday March 30 to Friday April 3, from 9am-3.30pm. RMB 2,200 (lunch included) or RMB 1,720 (lunch not included) for the full day camp, or RMB 1,350 for the half day camp. Imagine. “Knight School”
At Knight School kids will wield a sword, fire a bow and arrow, ride a horse, build a trebuchet, design a shield, make chainmail, journey to a castle, slay a dragon, and much more.
Camp 1: March 23-27, 9am-4pm
Camp 2: March 30-April 3, 9am-4pm
Camp 3: April 6-10, 9am-4pm

beijingkids Shunyi Correspondent Sally Wilson moved to Beijing in 2010 from the UK with her husband and son. Her daughter was born here in 2011 and both her kids keep her happily busy.
