Next Saturday April 25 from 2pm-4.30pm, artist and teacher Pamela Murray will facilitate an interactive storytelling and puppet making workshop at Meridian Space. Murray a theatre practitioner who has worked with French artist François Sarhan at the prestigious Nirox Art project in her home country of South Africa.
This workshop tackles a tiger’s-tale from South Korea. Murray makes the story of The Tiger and the Persimmon come alive through fun family games, interactive reading sessions and beautiful visuals. In addition to a fun and creative retelling, Murray will facilitate a puppet-making session, with participants building their own rod puppets based on the story’s characters.
The workshop is suitable for kids aged 4-6 and will be given in both English and Chinese, and costs RMB 200 for one parent with one child, and RMB 250 for two parents with one child.
