There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s cat is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Introduction: Hi everyone, my name is Mimi.
Background: I was brought to ICVS by a very kind lady that found me in the street. I had lost my eye recently and been in an accident previously where my hind legs were broken. My legs have healed and I am not in any pain, but I walk with a hobble and can only climb onto low surfaces. I am now fully recovered after my eye repair surgery at ICVS and healthy. I am hoping for a special family that will adopt and love me for the very special and courageous cat that I am.
Personality: I am gentle and a bit shy. I am not at all aggressive and never hiss, swat, or bite. I love being cuddled and petted and purr tons when I can snuggle up with people.
Ideal home: I am not very fast moving so would prefer a calm and quiet environment with an individual or a couple with no children or other pets.
Breed: I’m a short-haired white cat.
Sex and age: I am a young female cat, about 1-2 years old.
Medical notes: I am healthy and have had eye repair surgery at ICVS and am fully vaccinated, dewormed and on flea and tick preventives.
Post-adoption care: I’m enrolled me in ICVS’s Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. They will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations and vaccinations during my first year of life with my new family.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With my rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family with an official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g. Vaccination red book) at no extra cost. I need this official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. I must have this official vaccination red book in order to move to another city or to leave China with my new family.
Pet Import/Export Counseling: ICVS will provide my family with unlimited relocation counseling and accurate information so I can go with them when it is time to move to another city or to relocate to another country.
Door-to-Door Pet Transport Service: ICVS can help my new family arrange for a car and driver service to take me door-to-door for my appointments at the hospital.
