There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s kittens, Hua Hua and Di Di, are from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Introduction: We are Hua Hua and Di Di, two absolutely adorable kittens, even if we say so ourselves.
Background: After mother abandoned us, we were rescued off the streets, by a very kind man who had been putting food out for us.
Personality: We are very confident, intelligent, inquisitive kittens, exploring everywhere, constantly looking for new adventures. Our best place to sleep is curled up together on someone’s warm lap, purring loudly in appreciation. We love everything we’re offered to eat and cleverly know exactly what to do with our litter box. We don’t bite or scratch and are very good at respecting furniture.
Ideal home: We are very well adapted and independent but are really hoping we will be fortunate enough to find a loving, caring family who will want to adopt us both.
Breed: We are short haired domestic house cats.
Sex and age: Di Di is a white male kitten with yellow spots and Hua Hua is a female calico kitten with yellow, black and white fur. We are about 7-weeks old.
Medical notes: We are very healthy and have already completed our second round of vaccinations at ICVS.
Post-adoption care: We’re fortunate because The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled us in their Rescued/Stray/Re-homed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide our new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on our health examinations, vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries during our first year of life with our new family!
Official Vaccination Certificate: With our rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue our new family with official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (eg. Vaccination red book) at no charge! We need these official vaccination red books to prove we have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. We also need these official vaccination red books in order to move to another city or to leave China with our family.
