There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s puppy, Dixie, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Introduction: Hi everyone! Am Dixie.
Background: I was a stray puppy found on the streets by a very kindly college student. She has been quietly taking care of me and keeping me in her dormitory but pets are not allowed at school so I need to find a new home as soon as possible.
Personality: I am a sweet and gentle puppy. I am trusting and loving and so happy to be around people. I will love you unconditionally and be your lifelong companion.
Ideal home: I am happy with an individual, a couple or a family with older children (e.g., 8 years and older).
Breed: I am a short-haired small mixed breed dog.
Sex and age: I am a female puppy, about two-months old.
Medical notes: I am quite healthy and am ready for my vaccinations. When I have completed my vaccinations I can have my spay surgery at ICVS!
Post-adoption care: I am fortunate because The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled me in their Rescued/Stray/Re-homed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations, vaccinations and spay surgery during my first year of life with my new family!
Official Vaccination Certificate: With our rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (e.g., Vaccination red book) at no charge! I need the official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. I also need this official vaccination red book for dog registration renewal and for export to leave China with my family.
