There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s puppy, Dixie, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Introduction: Hi everyone, my name is Ferris.
Background: I was rescued very two very kind ladies visiting Beijing. They could not keep me as they do not live in Beijing, but took care of me and brought me to ICVS where I have been examined, treated and am currently boarding. I had a minor illness and am now doing very well and am healthy. I am hoping for immediate adoption to a loving forever family.
Personality: I am very lively, playful and curious. I am a quick learner and already being paper trained to use the toilet.
Ideal home: Ferris would be perfect with an individual, a couple or a family with older children (8 years and older).
Breed, Sex & Age: Ferris is a small breed poodle mix. She is light brown in color and about 6-7 weeks old. She will grow up to be a small dog that can be legally registered in any district.
Medical notes: Ferris is now healthy and will start on her puppy vaccinations soon. Her rescuers provided her with a full ICVS Puppy Vaccination Package, covering all of her vaccinations needed these next few months. She has already been dewormed and is doing great!
Post-adoption care: The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled me into their Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide our new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations, vaccinations and spay surgery during my first year with my new adoption family.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With my rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge! I need the official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated and to move to other cities or to leave China with my family.
Official Spay/Neuter Certificate for Dogs: After my spay surgery, ICVS will issue my new family the official Spay/Neuter Certificate that will provide my owner with a 50% discount (e.g., up to RMB 500 savings) on my dog license registration fee at the Public Security Bureau.
Official Vaccination Certificate: With our rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificates (e.g., Vaccination red book) at no charge! I need the official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated. I also need this official vaccination red book for dog registration renewal and for export to leave China with my family.
