Carolyn Wu Kurtzig, the director of Communications Asia Pacific at Motorola, would normally never have the time for a full makeover, but the American is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her son Benjamin two months ago (she also has a 2-year-old daughter, Sophia, who attends 3e International). Kurtzig, who has almost fully returned to her pre-pregnancy weight, credits her fitness to a regimen of chasing after her toddler, yoga at Yoga Yard and Alona Pilates Studio. Although the kids still keep her busy, she was able to indulge in a morning at Eric Paris Salon at the Kerry Centre, where the low-maintenance mom was treated to a haircut, blow-dry and makeup application. Kurtzig, whose daily routine usually includes a 9-to-5 work day, followed by quality time with her kids, and conference calls from 8pm on, welcomed the change. 1. French hair stylist, Weibel Keliel gave Carolyn’s above-the-shoulders layered cut a little more pizzazz by adding texture and longer bangs that can be swept to the side. “She should have something classic and fresh,” Weibel said.
2. Nicola eased Carolyn into make-up (she hasn’t worn any since her wedding!) with light liquid foundation and a peach-colored blush. For her eyes, he swept on light brown and soft pink eye shadow, liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line, and finished with mascara and coral lip gloss. All products by Make Up For Ever.
3. Keliel gave Carolyn big hair with a sexy twist – she created intense volume by blow-drying her locks with a round brush. A healthy dose of hairspray secured the look. “I feel so glamorous!” Carolyn exclaimed.
