Tomorrow night, May 26, you can both help a worthy local charity and possibly stick it to the reigning champs of the charity quiz circuit, True Run Media, by turning up at the Sanlitun location of Schindler’s for the Magic Hospital Charity Quiz Night … in the process you’ll be in the running for a veritable booty of wonderful prizes.
Teams of up to 8 are welcome to join (reservations suggested – half the 10 spots open for teams are already filled as of this writing). All proceeds from the evening’s festivities will go directly to Magic Hospital, an organization that helps local hospitals, migrant schools and orphanages with programs such as music enrichment, clown visits and outdoor adventure days.
RMB 100 gets you in the door and 5 raffle tickets. Prizes include restaurant vouchers, spa treatments, books from Penguin and other goodies. The action starts at 730 but you’ll want to turn up early to get prime seating and partake in a special dinner menu on offer from Schindler’s.
Quiz teams will be competing for the top prize: a basket of goodies including Yoga Yard vouchers, tours from Sideways Motorbike Tours, Plasterd T-Shirts gift packs, books from Penguin and ceramic Beijinger beer steins. Second and third place will also receive prizes.Serving as quizmaster will be Plastered’s very own Dominic Johnson-Hill, who promises a fun-filled quiz with rounds on childrens’ literature, Beijing and Asia, among others.
