Looking for an abundance of English books for your child to read? Look no further than Haidian Children’s Palace Library!
Though a common sight in Western countries, libraries (especially foreign children’s libraries) are relatively rare in China. Recently opened Haidian Children’s Palace Library is an exception. This three month old nook boasts 2000+ newly imported books in the English language, ranging over a variety of topics including science, history and art. Because the library was initially designed for Chinese children in the age group of 4 to 14 years, the books available may be more suited for a younger fluent English speaker instead of the original intended age group.
