Auntie Wang Liping has rescued 150 strays, looking after them for over the past ten years. Under her care and in her “super family,” they now lead happy lives, rebuilding their affection for people.Due to the recent illnesses of several of her family members, Auntie Wang is already in debt to the veterinary hospital for over RMB 5,000, and the rent on her sanctuary is due soon.
To support Auntie Wang and her “super family” of strays, join the fun at “Don’t Eat Friends” Fundraiser, held at SOHO Shangdu on Sunday, September 12 (details below).
Admission is pay-as-you-please. Check out the charity sale booths, where all kinds of goodies for pets and people alike will be on sale, at super low prices. There will be music performed by independent musicians, such as Soner, Yuanjing and Shay. Free vegan food will be provided by Ting Song Xiao Zhu restaurant. There will also be prizes, including vegan clothing and goodies.
All profits will be given to Auntie Wang in person at the event.
