Nicknamed the “Little Giant” (小巨人), the 54.4kg Xiao Hao (小豪) from Guangzhou is five times bigger than the average three-year-old.
Xiao Hao has been banned from several kindergartens because they consider him to be a health hazard to other children.
“He means no harm he is just big and likes to play. I take him swimming for exercise but it is hard finding trunks to fit him and even the rubber rings are too small, ” said his mother, Xiao Lin.
Some doctors say his condition is due to a hormone problem, and he can be treated for it. However, they warn that Xiao Hao may risk having heart problems if he doesn’t lose weight.
