Voted "Outstanding American," "Outstanding Brunch," "Outstanding Steak," "Outstanding Burger" and "Outstanding Chef (William Bolton)" in the Beijinger’s 2010 Reader Restaurant Awards, Chef Too is conveniently located near Chaoyang Park’s West Gate, and can be tied in with playtime at the park. With earthy decor, warm lighting and soft jazz music playing in the background, families can sit back and relax, with helpful and attentive staff on hand. There are no private rooms, but the small backyard provides a quaint play area for children. Apart from their famous burgers and deli sandwiches (RMB 68-98), kids will love any of the popular pasta options. Try the rigatoni a la buttera (RMB 68) or penne with meatballs (RMB 78). Upon request, a kid’s size portion of most menu items can be served at half the listed price. A variety of offerings are available for weekend brunch (RMB 68-98, served until 3pm), from delicious blueberry pancakes to omelettes and huevos rancheros. Kids can choose scrambled eggs with bacon, pancakes with bacon, or grilled cheese from the kids’ menu. As an added bonus, a meal from the kids’ menu is free with an accompanying adult. Top off a scrumptious meal with something sweet. No doubt kids will enjoy their classic selection of desserts, including homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors, chocolate brownies and warming apple pie.
