Shunyi’s Roundabout Charity Distribution Store is closing today (Tuesday, Dec 14) due to the scheduled demolition of the building it is located in … Roundabout’s Leslie has this to say:
Hi All
Well, it really is happening this time ! Since I moved here 6 years ago I have heard that the village behind ISB will be "pulled down soon"
I took a gamble 2 years ago and leased a building for Roundabout and am very grateful that I did.
It proved to be a wonderful location and we have been blessed with a very successful time there .. and due to the generosity of our community we have been able to help hundreds upon hundreds of people in need.
Today we received the official notice that they are going to start pulling the village down. Our building will be one of the first to go.
On TUESDAY 14th December we will close our doors at 5.30pm for the last time ( gosh, I am going to start crying in a minute ).
We will be moving everything out and plan for the building to be empty by Friday.
In January we will temporarily move into the ETON school building at Pinnacle Plaza. Unfortunately this is only short term as renovation work is due to start on the building in early spring. We are however very grateful for any time we can have there while we find a new permanent home.
Sorry we don't have the exact date for opening but we will keep you informed as we learn more.
If you have any urgent donations that require a truck pick up during this period please call us on 13718 053 814 and we will make the arrangements as normal.
Thank you all for your continued support and look forward to seeing you in January.
Merry Christmas everyone
