It’s already March and I, for one, am getting major spring fever! I took a drive around to see what was going on in our neighborhood and see that there are many things changing — some store locations and restaurants gone as well as signs for new things to come. Maybe in the next few weeks we’ll learn new details about these events in our area. Until then, here are things to go see and do:
*Jewelry lovers — there is a new location for Clicia’s Designs and Shayne’s Treasures! Visit Lake View Place at Dragon Bay Villas, especially this Thursday, March 3 during their House Warming Party where you can enjoy up to 40% off storewide. Check out Desert Diamonds (see what that’s all about at www.desertdiamondsco.com) at a 20% discount. If their new sign isn’t yet up, don’t fret. Temporary signage will direct you accordingly, but it’s on the same strip center that houses the pet store and DVD store. Also, next week from Wednesday through Friday is their bi-annual progressive stone sale, up to 50% off. Don’t miss it!
*Did you know it was International Women’s Day next week? Tai Tai certainly did, and they are celebrating the occasion on March 8th within their Chen Hao store. Receive a special gift for all purchases over RMB 500 on that day. Also, they will have a table at the Embassy House Bazaar on March 14 and 15, with proceeds going to China Little Flower (www.littleflowerprojects.org) orphanage for children with medical needs.
*If you have babies or children from 18-30 months old, consider enrolling in a My Little Mozart class on Friday mornings. For information about these 45 minute classes, contact Kristin at kristinkoh@yahoo.com.
*Want to burn 450 calories while relieving stress and having fun? Try kickboxing! Come to the River Garden clubhouse for a one-hour total body workout on Mondays or Wednesdays at 10am, or Thursdays at 6pm. Call Rose at 136 9307 3585 for more information.
*“How Do I Put it On?” is a great story for children who are not yet in school. Parents, bring your little ones to the Dulwich River Garden campus on Friday, March 4 from 9-9:30am to enjoy the story together. Copies of the story will be available for sale.
