This program will provide a weekly music class to children ages 9-12 at a migrant school located on the outskirts of Beijing. Classes are structured to introduce the children to different types of music and musical instruments, develop their singing voices and musicality, introduce them to basic music theory and give them the opportunity to play percussion and other simple instruments. The ultimate goal is give the children a wider understanding and appreciation of music. We will sing and dance, play music, talk about music and make music!
