What did we say last week about this iPhone/iPad craze going too far? Well the iPad2 release in Beijing over the weekend turned bloody, as Jonathan White of our sister site thebeijinger.com blogs.
A fight broke out between Sanlitun Village Apple store employees and people waiting in line to buy the new contraption.
Reports seem to be getting out of hand with various accusations being tossed around about expat employees beating old ladies with metal bars, but my guess there’s more (or should I say less) to the story.
One thing’s for sure: as much as you and your little ones may covet gadgets such as the iPad, we’d suggest you steer clear of product launches here in Beijing.
