Perfect timing: attend the official launch of the Shangri-La’s Shang Children’s Club this Children’s Day
The routine’s pretty clear on Mother’s Day — roses, box of chocolates, breakfast in bed. Father’s Day — get dad some aftershave or soap on a rope and let him go golfing and he’s pretty sorted out.
But what the heck to do for Children’s Day? Celebrated without fail each year on June 1 (even when it falls on a weekday), the holiday is a little perplexing in that is calls for a massive celebration of the little blessings but fails to give their parents (who presumably are the ones that are meant to honor their kids on this day) a day off from work.
But should you be free tomorrow, here’s a bunch of stuff going on around town to mark the occasion. A full list of tomorrow’s events can be found here, while there’s more fun going on this weekend.
