Midikids: hands-on family fun for those who love music
Missed your chance to go to Midi Music Festival this year? Catch up with the organizer Midi Music School this Saturday for their innovative summer program “MidiKids” which combines hands-on musical experimentation for kids with live performances from top-notch bands.
From 11am to 6pm, Chaowai Soho will come alive for this free family-friendly festival.
For young music fans, Midi has arranged a wide array of hands-on stations where children can try out electronic instruments, make their own digital music, or simply bang the drums. There will be workshops on how to form a band and arts and crafts stations as well.
And to top it off, there’ll be live bands throughout the day for your entertainment pleasure. Two well-known bands will be headlining the free show: pop/punk band Finger Family and ZBRock
.
Pop/punksters Finger Family headline the free music fest
Finger Family, veterans of the Midi Music Festival and the Strawberry Music Festival, sings original pop/punk and also do some covers. ZBRock has a diverse sound, mixing rock, grunge and pop rock with a sound that brings to mind bands such as Linkin Park, Nickelback, Guns N’Roses and The Strokes. They have played in Midi Music Festival and Haidian Park Music Festival.
