In China these days, twins are the new black. The limitations of the one-child policy have made the idea of multiple kids enchanting, but the law is the law. If only there were a loophole … Oh wait, twins (or triplets or quadruplets)!
In attempt to avoid the one-child policy, many women have been turning to fertility drugs in hope to pop out more than one haizi at a time. I mean, it’s just too easy! Hand over a couple hundred or so kuai, and you’ve got yourself a little “multiple-baby pill”. Too cool! The ad even claims, “You may have twins!” This is not a new invention, of course, but now the once hush-hush existence of this magical little tablet has come to public attention.
