As some of you will recall (thanks Mom), Peter’s Tex-Mex Grill in Lido was the first restaurant we ate at when our little family moved to Beijing three years ago. It was there that we met our first friends in Beijing, where I made my office for over a year, and where Reina discovered her addiction to macaroni and cheese (see that story here). So when the manager told me they were moving to a new location in Lido, I had mixed feelings because the location was so convenient.
Now, having toured their new digs beside Frank’s Place and SALT, I am pleased to report that my reservations have been swept aside. The new location is larger, brighter (who knew windows could make such a difference?), has more parking, better Wi-Fi, and they have lots of outdoor seating for those who prefer dining alfresco. With their dependable kids’ menu, play area, and little sink, kids will feel right at home too. Best of all, they are only two blocks away from Si’de Park, so it is even easier to let the kids burn off some energy after a meal while the parents walk off a few calories too.
