When my kids were younger, I used to make play dough from scratch. The home-made kind is great, because it’s non-toxic, lasts longer than the store-bought kind and you can make as much as you like!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups warm water
1 cup salt
2tbsp vegetable oil
1tbsp cream of tartar
Food coloring
Mix the ingredients in a saucepan on the stove until it becomes, well, doughy.
While my kids have hit the double digits (aged 10 and 13), I just might make a batch of play dough for them today. I have a feeling they’ll still love it.
