The year of the dragon is proving to be an auspicious one for Roundabout, with two great bits of news this February: First, it is reopening THIS weekend; and second, another successful book fair is on the calendar for NEXT weekend!
Let’s get to the spectacular grand reopening information first. Remember the fantastic location Roundabout had last, just outside of the east exit gates of the International School of Beijing? It was a prime spot with plenty of room for shoppers and donation storage. Well, it turns out that the building will be there another few months, so Roundabout is moving back in! This means that donations are in a central place once again, turning over rapidly for the daily shoppers in the store. All good news!
Come to Roundabout this Saturday, February 18 from 9:30am-5:30pm during the opening day and snatch up tremendous bargains – from toys to furniture, baby equipment to decorative items, jewelry to kitchenware, electronics and MUCH more! If you need directions in Chinese, call 137 1805 3814.
Also quite tempting is the opportunity to shop and eat — The Bread of Life Bakery will participate on Saturday, with a delicious selection on their menu and all proceeds going to charity. Yum!
Donation drop-offs are back to being convenient for all – no need to call first, just show up anytime from Monday through Saturday from 9:30am-5:30pm, right next to the store location.
Are you in need of recycling and restocking your books again? Then the timing is perfect for Roundabout’s next Book Fair, to be held on Saturday, February 25 at the British School of Beijing (BSB). Once again, from 10am-3pm you can come peruse the thousands of books available for purchase, knowing that your support will continue to help funds to purchase coal for the deaf school in Hebei Province. It’s been a cold winter, and we want to do everything we can to help those children!
As usual, there will also be a small selection of toys and other things for sale during this time, and BSB has graciously offered to keep this book sale open for one full month! During the school hours of 9am-3:30pm Monday through Friday until March 23, you can come to the lobby area of BSB Shunyi campus and look at the new selections set out daily.
