Good news for Shunyi dwellers! Our trips to Beijing United Family Hospital and Clinics (BJU) in Lido or elsewhere may be fewer and farther between as the Pinnacle Plaza location expands. United Family Healthcare is happy to share with us several new additions of services and doctors.
First, the space that used to house the Trek bicycle store has been opened up and connected with the existing Shunyi BJU Clinic. Now, two new departments – Radiology and an Eye Clinic – have been added. Radiology services (chest x-rays, x-rays for broken bones, etc.) will be available from noon-7pm every day except for Wednesdays and Sundays. And two Ophthalmologists will see patients on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9:30am-4pm in the full-service eye clinic. Dr. Joanne Xi and Dr. Xue Chen will rotate coverage of this new service.
Additionally, a new pediatrician joins the clinic three days a week (generally Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and, having a six-month old at home, is not currently seeing patients in the main hospital. Dr. Leila Sabet is a member of the breastfeeding section of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Finally, Dr. David Zhang works in Shunyi on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Dr. Zhang practices chiropractic, acupuncture, Chinese medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation medicine.
There are plans for further expansion of services in the Shunyi area in the future, so stay tuned!
