You gotta give it to Dreamaker. Since the last time we wrote about the drama education group, they’ve announced a new English-language theater troupe, the opening of its new Chaoyang Park location, and a drama summer camp in the UK.
The new theater troupe is designed for ages 7 to 17 and will focus on acting, voice, and body movement. Led by professional drama teachers and actors, the productions will consist of fairy tales, Shakespeare plays, and Broadway.
The auditions will be held at Dreamaker’s Xizhimen location on March 7, 16, 21, and 30 from 4pm to 6pm, and on March 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 10.30am to noon. Students don’t have to be native English speakers, but basic understanding is required.
The best part? With the opening of Dreamaker’s new location near Chaoyang Park (address TBA) on April 1, expat families won’t have to commute to the other side of the city. Until then, the company is already holding classes at a location on Xidawang Lu (contact Dreamaker for details).
Last but not least, Dreamaker is planning a two-week drama summer camp in the UK. Though the dates haven’t been confirmed yet, students will participate in a variety of drama activities and go on day trips to the University of Cambridge, Oxford University, London, Windsor Castle, and more. The themed drama days include Spies and Spy Masters, Princesses and Monsters, Color Wars, Famous Children’s Stories, and more.
