Come enjoy a free music concert at Euro Plaza this Saturday from 3-6pm. Claire’s Music Studio will hold its 2012 Student Recital, allowing students to sing or play their chosen instrument in this public setting. A collective CD will be available for purchase shortly after the concert date. Claire’s Music Studio often presents recitals and concerts benefitting various charities in and around our area. The professionalism and popularity of this particular studio draws beginning and accomplished music students from all over. Stop by and enjoy the recital on the first floor this weekend!
INN hosts its Morning Coffee in Shunyi on Thursday, May 17 from 10am-noon at Starbucks in Pinnacle Plaza. This event is every third Thursday of the month, and it offers you a chance to meet new people and find out what’s going on in our area.
A music event on a professional level is coming to Dulwich College Legend Garden Campus on Monday, June 4 at 7:30pm. Don’t miss The Harvard Krokodiloes – Harvard University’s oldest a cappella singing group founded in 1946. The group consists of 12-14 undergraduates singing songs from the 20s through the 60s. Tickets are available for purchase from the Legend Garden and Riviera Main Campus receptionists: adults RMB 70 and children RMB 50.
Considering all that come and go in Euro Plaza, it was a bit of a surprise to see a very large “billboard” on the 2nd floor of Euro Plaza announcing a KFC arriving soon. This is just down the hall from Treescape (Chinese restaurant), and one floor above McDonald’s. It will likely be very popular because it’s new, although many – like me – groan to see yet another space devoted to something we don’t really need around here.
