*Beijing Playhouse presents Oklahoma! at three special Shunyi showings. Held in WAB’s school theater, come see the production on Friday or Saturday evenings, June 1 or 2, at 7:30pm; or on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. *Don’t forget the special performance of The Harvard Krokodiloes, the famous a cappella singing group, at Dulwich College Beijing. Tickets are RMB 70 for adults; RMB 50 for children, and the event is held at the Legend Garden Campus Theatre on Monday, June 4 at 7:30pm.

*There are more and more clothing stores in Euro Plaza, although they rarely seem to have many shoppers and I’m not sure how long they’ll last. Today’s discovery was a new underwear store – both men’s and women’s – with the curious store name and logo of gk…very similar in design to the ck logo of Calvin Klein that immediately comes to mind.
*The fruit lady has moved, although just down the street. Locals know the fruit lady used to be in a building across from the old hutong road. She’s moved a few meters away in a larger, cleaner space across from the husband/wife car wash, and she now has refrigeration and display counters.
*Tasty’s is gone, at least at the old location. The roof came off today. They are supposed to relocate to…well, behind where the fruit lady used to be! There was a local restaurant there (did anybody ever go?) and Tasty’s will relocate there in the near future.
