No.55 High School and Middle School, a well known city-level key school in Beijing, which we recently reviewed, is opening up a grade school division for international students. Grades one to six are offered but only grades two, three and four are currently open. Each grade will have an intimate class size of ten, one class per grade which will provide a tight-knit community for youngsters.
Students will be taught with English textbooks and the curriculum is designed to use 70% English and 30% Chinese. Classrooms will be equipped with computers, projectors and students will share indoor basketball and badminton courts with the high school students. Additionally, students will be able to enjoy recess in a pollution-free indoor playground.
Tuition for the grade school is RMB 20,800 a semester with an RMB 1,500 registration fee. The only catch is that applicants cannot be Chinese nationals and parents must have working visas. All inquiries or applications should be addressed to 马老师 Ms. Ma 6416 9531 or 139 1067 7863.
