For once, being a tiger mom or wolf dad could pan out.
We received an email from a woman named Dana Bushkin this morning. According to her signature, she’s an associate casting director for the classy-sounding show Wife Swap. It would seem American TV network ABC is now turning its lens on China, looking specifically for “tiger moms” and “wolf dads” to feature in a new production.
We’ve poked fun of these tough-loving parents again and again (and again) in the past, even taking cues from their “cubs” on how to evade their domestic tyranny. Who knew that making your kids run naked through a snowstorm and beating them into the best universities could pave the way to TV superstardom?
All jokes aside, ABC is offering a USD 1,000 “referral fee for any families who become part of the show.” If you know any real life tiger moms, wolf dads, eagle dads, shark matrons, wolverine pops, honey badger mamas, grizzly padres, and the like, email dana.bushkin@zodiakusa.com.
