Beijing Playhouse, the city’s only English-language theater troupe, is introducing workshops for singers, actors, and dancers.
Beijing Playhouse Drama Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm. For August, the workshop focuses on singing and dancing; for September, it’s how to audition. The venue is Nearby the Tree in Sanlitun, right behind Sanlitun Village.
No experience? Not a native English speaker? No worries. The only prerequisite is an interest in theater or drama. The workshops are open to all and aim to bring in people with similar interests to build a creative and fun environment.
Instructors include Michael Gralapp (director of Snow White, Cinderella, and Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge), Gregory Joseph Allen, Andrew Donnelly, Stephannie Tebow (all assistant directors for Snow White), and Tanya Marie Davies (BP’s musical director).
